Pastor Byron Chesney
Pastor Byron Chesney has served in Gospel ministry for more than 30 years as a singer, song leader, preacher, and pastor. His journey of faith began at the age of six when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior during Vacation Bible School.
In the late 1990s, Pastor Byron answered the call to preach and was licensed by House Mountain Baptist Church in Corryton, Tennessee. There, he first served as song leader and later as interim pastor.
In 2010, he was ordained to the Gospel ministry. In August 2011, he became Senior Pastor of Highland Baptist Church in Knoxville, where he served for eight years. In August 2019, following the Lord's leading, he planted Porchlight Baptist Church and served as its Senior Pastor for four years. On October 8, 2023, Pastor Byron accepted the call to serve as pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Knoxville, where he continues to minister.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Byron works full-time as a Technical Writer with Elo Touch Systems, a company specializing in touchscreen technology. He also hosts The Brother Byron Podcast, where he discusses the Bible, ministry, Christian living, and current events.
Outside of ministry and work, he enjoys working on cars, repairing computers, tackling home projects, and maintaining his website, Tennessee Trivia.
He and his wife, Mary, were married in 1985 and are blessed with three children: Jessica, Matthew, and Elizabeth.

Bro. Scott Buchanan
Bro. Scott Buchanan serves Northside Baptist Church as music leader, head deacon, and adult Sunday School teacher. The Lord has gifted him with a heart for worship and a talent for music, which he faithfully uses in leading the congregation, choir, and special music.
As an ordained deacon, Bro. Scott serves with spiritual maturity, humility, and a servant's heart. His faithful ministry is an important part of the life and work of Northside Baptist Church.
During the Sunday School hour, Bro. Scott faithfully teaches the Word of God with clarity, conviction, and a strong foundation in Scripture, helping others grow in their understanding of the Bible.
Bro. Scott and his wife, Sister Karen Cardwell Buchanan, live in the Knoxville area.
